So, I know I'm not the only one who's bedroom has 10 different colors and designs that are all cute, yet nothing correlates, right?

Luckily this is only a bedroom I'm working with and not an apartment or a house! But a key part of being comfortable and having a healthy state of mind is by having a pleasing environment. Finding your personal aesthetic can take some personal analysis or just a look at your Pinterest board (Like me!). So If you're like me and can't decide what room aesthetic best fits you, then this is for you!

  • MODERN CHIC

Now Modern Chic is a style that includes a lot of light or pastel pinks and grey mixed with white and black. This aesthetic is for someone who loves glamour and textures. There is typically a lot of brightness to the room that is emphasized with white rugs or furniture and delicate lights or lamp. Modern Chic will typically use silver for it's main pieces but other forms of Chic will replace this with gold. The main ideals of Chic is bright and organized but if you're not into the glamorous aspect of Modern Chic, there is also Shabby Chic; vintage and up-cycled style. or Farmhouse Chic; Rustic Wood and country feel. If you prefer for texture and shine as decoration for your room than Modern Chic might be for you!

  • BOHO

The Boho theme will include very natural earthy tones and certain pops of color. And plants are a necessary part of the Bohemian look. If you are someone who likes simple, natural or cultural decorations but lots of it, than Boho might be for you! This aesthetic will mix different patterns and colors that give the room a sense of real life; random! A way that life is truly seen in this style is the abundance of greenery within one space, letting long plants and cultural art decorate the room. One can approach this aesthetic with a more tamed look, such as the photo or can be wildly expressive with a lot of colors and patterns displayed. All in all this aesthetic carries a natural essence that is perfect for anyone looking too express all their creativity in their bedroom.

  • CONTEMPORARY

The Contemporary look has a very simple and clean look. There will typically only be a theme of 2 dominant colors (black and white) and a third pop of color like yellow or orange (usually something warm and grey). Contemporary is a perfect mix for someone who enjoys minimalist look but still needs a little decor. common patterns like stripes or polka dots can be seen in this aesthetic. A lot of soft textures are incorporated in this look and maybe one or two statement pieces on the wall. If you are very simple with decor and like to keep a consistent color pattern than the contemporary aesthetic might be for you!

TRADITIONAL

The traditional aesthetic might be something you might find in your mothers bedroom... but it can still be cute! This aesthetic involves heavily on a common wood throughout the room (in this case a light brown). It also incorporated lot of antique decorations and muted colors. One of the main focuses in this aesthetic is textures, specifically through rugs. If you really appreciate wooden and fancy designs than this could be your aesthetic!

WHATEVER IS COMFORTABLE

To get your aesthetic you do not have to follow one straight theme, you can mix these aesthetics or incorporate different things into one theme. What is important about finding an aesthetic is that you feel like your best self in it. Somewhere you feel productive and organized, and for me that is chic with a little bit of boho combined.

I hope you enjoyed this and if this was helpful please subscribe so that I can provide more of what you're looking for! thank you!
